SSL AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION
SSL
All communications between you and
the 3D Poker Room server are encrypted and secured
under SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), the most accepted
communications security system for advanced e-commerce
over the Internet.
Credit card transactions: We do not store your full
credit card number, but instead only pass it along
to the certified credit card processing company that
handles your transaction.
Game play events: All communications between you and
the server are encrypted under SSL (see above). For
example, when your cards are dealt to you -- say a
pair of Aces --the message from the server to you
is fully encrypted so no one else can interpret the
message.
Firewalls: When you're connected to the Internet,
your computer is linked to millions of other computers
and users. If hackers can find their way into the
CIA, they can probably find their way into your machine.
But, if you have a firewall, they probably won't bother.
Firewalls not only keep people out of your computer,
but the better ones can help you detect unwanted intrusions.
We cannot recommend any one firewall, but we suggest
you check them out at
www.zonelabs.com (there's a free version) or look
for others at http://www.tucows.com/
Account Information
At 3D Poker Room, we have installed
significant security to prevent intrusion to our server.
In addition, we take the following measures to ensure
your account information is safe and accurate.
Encryption: All data not only travels encrypted
over the Internet, it is also encrypted inside our
databases -- which are also heavily guarded.
Audits: A separate
machine reads all critical account and transaction
information at every critical event to ensure that
all transactions are in balance. Discrepancies are
reported instantly to our staff.
Backups and archives: Archiving takes place frequently.
Off-site backups are regularly maintained.
We employ several other systems to ensure that your
information is sound...but we'll play those cards
close to our vest.
